More about Me…

I’m a photographer specialising in environmental portraiture and documentary-influenced commercial imagery.

My work is influenced by the social documentary photography of Martin Parr and Paul Graham — photographers who captured everyday life with stark realism while still maintaining strong composition and a sense of place.

Having lived in several districts across Manchester, I’ve spent over fifteen years photographing people within the environments that shape their daily lives. These long-term portrait projects have allowed me to explore a range of social spaces and ways of working with natural, un-staged moments.

Over time this approach has evolved into a style of visual storytelling that sits between editorial and environmental portraiture. Today I work with brands and organisations to create natural, evenly-lit imagery that feels authentic while presenting people, places and products with clarity and simplicity.

When I’m not photographing, I’m usually walking around Manchester with a camera looking for new portrait ideas.
